S2 Volcanoes Investigation

Aim: To find out as much as you can about a volcano of your choice

Planning: Here is a list of the areas you will need to investigate

  • Where in the world most Volcanoes are found
  • How Volcanoes are formed
  • What causes volcanoes to erupt
  • When did the volcano erupt last and what happened
  • The bad effects on people, the landscape and the environment of the volcanic eruption
  • The good effects of the volcanic eruption

How should i present my investigation?

  • Please have your investigation word processed
  • Your front cover should have your name, class and title with some pictures
  • Please include a contents page
  • You should have an introduction that explains what your investigation is going to talk about
  • Take a new page for each of the questions from the above planning section
  • Include diagrams, maps, pictures and photographs
  • You should finish your investigation with a conclusion (10-20 lines)
  • Your final page should be a bibliography (A bibliography lists all the main sources you used to collect your information)
